ICC San Diego Area Chapter Information
The San Diego Area Chapter of ICC is a member organization representing Building Officials serving 21 jurisdictions within San Diego County. The chapter was incorporated on March 11, 1958 March-11-1958_Bylaws and Harold M. Fay was it’s first President. We are a chapter of the International Code Council and the following bylaws have been filed with ICC 2024 Constitution and Bylaws.
The chapter meets monthly on the third Tuesday of every month and supports the activities of 10 technical and ad-hoc committees (Accessibility, CBC & CRC, Electrical, Plumbing/Mechanical, Disaster Preparedness, Nominations, Valuation and Scholarship committee. The technical committees generally meet on a monthly basis.

Mission
The mission of the San Diego Area Chapter of ICC is to:

Promote uniformity and consistency in the application of the building codes; and

Promote public health and safety through education and training programs and active participation in the code development process; and

Promote public awareness of the important role that building department services play in contributing to the quality of life in the San Diego Region
